Next Election: The City of La Verne will conduct an election on March 8, 2011 to fill three (3) seats on the City Council, including the Mayor’s two-year term which is elected separately from the two City Council four-year posts. Incumbents are Mayor Don Kendrick, Councilmember Robert Rodriguez and Councilmember Steven Johnson.
Nomination Period: The nomination period officially begins on Monday, November 15, 2010, and closes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010. If an incumbent fails to file papers by Monday, December 13, 2010 at 5:00 p.m., there will be an extension to 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. (any candidate other than an incumbent may file or withdraw on this date).
