Police Department

Housed in the Public Safety Facility, the Police Department is comprised of two major divisions that work to protect the public and their property within the City's boundaries. The Operations Division is responsible for the prevention and suppression of crime through the patrol of City streets. The division also includes a consolidated communications dispatch operation which serves both the Police and Fire departments. The Services Division is made up of the investigations bureau, records/clerical support, a jail, training, crime prevention, youth services and reserve forces details.

Fire Department

La Verne Fire Station 1Is responsible for protecting public life and property through the suppression and prevention of fires and for the control and containment of hazardous/toxic chemicals. Also, operates a 24-hour emergency paramedic service and coordinates emergency preparedness efforts for the community. Fire protection for the City is provided from three strategically located stations. The Headquarters Fire Station is located in the Public Safety Facility.
